Camp Fort Shenandoah is a weekly summer youth camp where churches or other organizations utilize our full range of facilities but plan and their own programs. The camp can accommodate up to 100 individuals and all meals are provided.
In addition to the wide variety of on-site activities, you will find miles of marked hiking trails in the George Washington National Forest plus horseback riding, canoeing and tubing nearby. Day trips could also include visits to Luray Caverns (just thirty minutes away), a trip to Woodstock Tower overlook with beautiful views of the Seven Bends of the Shenandoah River. The area is steeped with history; battles of both the Revolutionary and Civil Wars were fought here and Indians roamed the mountain trails.
This facility is open April 1 to November 15. We welcome not only weekly youth camps but shorter stays for adult retreat groups, Boy and Girl Scout Troops, etc.
